Grant Supports San Antonio Area Chapter Armed Forces Programs

The San Antonio (Tex.) Area Chapter was awarded a grant of $94,937 from the Texas Resources for Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment Fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation.  San Antonio is home to a large military community and there is a great need for Red Cross service to area Armed Forces programs. The chapter will use the funds to provide financial and travel assistance, specifically to members of the military who served in Iraq or Afghanistan and their families, and to bolster the chapter’s referral program.
