The Charter Oak Chapter of Connecticut (Farmington) reports that the chapter was able to arrange emergency leave for a member of the 1st Cavalry Division of the U.S. Army serving in Baghdad, Iraq, when his mother fell seriously ill. The young man was able to spend a couple of days with his mother before she passed on.
