Fort Sill D.J. Supports Chapter

April 8, 2008 · 1 Comment

D.J. and Red Cross volunteer Lino Roldan, Senior Specialist, SAFC Fort Sill, Okla., organized and hosted the First Annual Heroes Ball Extravaganza. One hundred percent of the proceeds were contributed to the Great Plains Chapter (Lawton, Okla.). The dance featuring D.J. Taíno (that’s Lino) included door prizes provided by sponsors for the best dressed from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.

We are wrapping up our second annual Heroes campaign in Bloomington, IN and have had a wonderful and successful sophomore year. We’ve increased our grass roots fund raising groups such as schools and firefighters, and also obtained support from a new major corporate donor. We do have a blog, http://redcrossheroes.blogspot.com
so please visit us and feel free to post comments.
Good luck to all of you conducting Heroes campaigns. Our son did his basic training at Ft. Sill, so congratulations!
