The SAF Deployment Station at LSA Anaconda Balad, Iraq partnered with the 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) to host a 5K Fun Run in celebration of Red Cross Month. The 316th ESC Commanding General, BG Gregory Couch delivered the remarks, including how the movement grew under Clara Barton and her successors into today’s Emergency Communication Message System, and other SAF services that are offered to today’s service members and their families. The three person team (Abigail Wyman, Kalyn Simpson, and Jesu Marrero) was thanked by the General and by the more than 1000 service members present who participated in the run.
