For Earth Day, Blood Donors Receive Environmentally Friendly Shopping Bags

Brookdale ShopRite of Bloomfield and Nutley Park ShopRite donated ‘go green’ reusable shopping bags to the Montclair (N.J.)-Glen Ridge-Nutley Chapter for use at the April blood drives. The environmentally friendly bags were distributed in honor of Earth Day and as a token of thanks to blood donors for their gift of life. A copy of National Geographic’s premier issue of the Green Guide was in all the bags. The Montclair bags also contained a coupon for services at organic dry cleaning shop Village Laundry Center and confections created by specialty baker Eileen Painter of Montclair.
