Volunteers and employees at the American Red Cross of Central Florida (Orlando) were busy during May responding to fires. The American Red Cross of Central Florida was part of the group of Mid-Florida Region chapters responding to the devastating wildfires that required feeding, sheltering and other support. In the same timeframe, chapter staff responded to a house fire that affected a family of seven, a house fire that displaced a family of five and a third house fire that required three volunteers to help four displaced adults in the wee hours of the morning.
