The American Red Cross in Greater New York (New York) opened a new warming kitchen on June 14 that will be a critical component of the chapter’s relief efforts after a large-scale disaster. Located at the chapter’s warehouse in Middletown, N.Y., the kitchen will support feeding operations throughout the New York metropolitan region with as many as 1,200 meals per day. The facility was made possible through a generous donation from the Rapaport Family Charitable Trust.
